I remember being totally mesmerized by this film the first time I saw it; I was more an Ed Norton fan than Brad Pitt (though Bradley can act, and he’s made some good career choices over the years) and Ed certainly delivered the goods in Chuck Palahniuk’s scathing satire about the violent reclamation of manhood/freedom from the life-sapping doldrums of corporate America.
Its' anarchic message rang out, like the numerous shots-to-the-head the movie’s protagonists deliver to one another throughout; Pitt is intentionally playing himself with a darker edge (I’d rate this as his best work alongside ‘Legends Of The Fall’ and ‘Seven’) Norton is excellent as always, Fincher is on fine form whilst Helena Bonham Carter turns in one of most interesting/original performances of her career. In short, a must see movie; I saw it twice in the cinema (last time I did that was with ‘The Matrix’) an unforgiving, unflichingly brutal but undeniably brilliant film.

I rented Fight Club a couple of years ago. I thought the premise for this movie was good, but I couldn't really get into because I thought it was a bit boring. I think I should give this movie a go again.
Have you tried Memento starring Guy Pearce and Carrie-Anne Moss? Has great camara-work and the story is great.
I <3 movies w/ twists and turns
Oh yeah... another semi-mind-boggling movie... Requiem For a Dream; has anybody tried this movie? I thought it was wonderfully done (not counting the graphic scenes, which I thought were unnessary), but quite sad.

I saw Fight Club, but I did not care for it at all. The fight scenes and the thing about making the soap out of the fat from the liposuction thing was too gross for me. So, I did not watch the whole thing.

Regarding "Fight Club", I saw it in the theaters several years ago. My impression was that it was okay, but not that impressive. But I knew that this film was certainly unique and strange enough, that it would merit "cult" status.
Maybe I'll see it again on DVD. Sometimes, my impressions of a certain movie improve with repeated showings!

I'll agree with Steverino on this one...sometimes you learn more about a movie each time you watch it. Even if you don't still like the movie per se, you might gain respect for the film-maker's intent...or you decide they're nothing but a hack.

Brad Pitt should make more movies like this one, he was brill in it. The story of the film you have to keep watching or you do lose the plot but a great film to keep you intigued i thought!!!!
