I was going to buy this 90's movie to show my kids as I thought they would get a kick out of it.. When I looked at Amazon I was shocked!! The new and used prices are WELL over $150.00.. This movie wasn't that great but WOW!.. I know Jon Brandis died but dont think that's why it spiked.. Any clue why this movie is so much to get on DVD?? I'm speechless..

Hi Dxtra27.. It is all about supply and demand.. when a movie goes out-of-print such as "Sidekicks" you will see the prices soar especially when it is a beloved kids favorite. There are ways to still get it cheap.. but save that for PMs since the mods will have to pull a Top Gun 'It's classified" move if someone posts about it on the board.
Well, unless you're SA because he loves to buzz the tower when nobody is looking.
If none of this makes sense.. my suggestion is to just hit the brakes and Paul will fly right by.

Btw, I really like "Sidekicks" .. it is "The Karate Kid" 90's style. Fun movie with Jonathan Brandis, Chuck Norris, and an over the top Joe Piscopo. Oh and Danika McKellar right?
My fav Jonathan Brandis flick is actually "Two Came Back" with Melissa Joan Hart, but "Sidekicks" is right up there. Sad stuff that Brandis couldn't defeat the demons that haunted him in real life.

No war here.. "Ladybugs" is a great kids movie .. it was kind of a "Just One of the Guys" with the reverse 90's style twist. ~ Devo Dangerfield
"Two Came Back" was a more serious hidden gem from Brandis.

Sidekicks is a pretty rad movie. One thing about it, it was perfectly cast.
Chuck Norris - Chuck Norris Joe Piscopo - insane karate master Jonathan Brandis - outcast teen Danica McKellar - sweetheart Beau Bridges - pudgy father hot actress - hot teacher old Japanese guy - wise karate master and so on...
Good job, casting agents! Annette Benson Penny Perry

I identify with Jonathan Brandis's character Barry because I had a vivid imagination growing up.. but instead of Chuck Norris .. it was Han Solo from "Star Wars" and Steve Austin from "The Six Million Dollar Man" that I asked for advice with regard to the Hot Teacher and that Lauren girl in my class.
