One of my favorite films ever. Can't believe it's been 20 years!

I agree with PittsburghGirl; it's hard to believe it's been 20 years already!
And I agree with Kash: this movie is one of the best of the 90's, and my favorite Mafia movie. (Yes, even more than "The Godfather" and its own Part 2.) Mainly because it was based on a true story.

I agree with all of the above. This is definitely the best gangster movie ever made and one of my top 10 movies of all time.

NOMS- I need a "like" button! It is the best! It is way better than The Godfather and Godfather II, although in a way they paved the way for violent mafia and gangster movies that we love now!

Awesome 90's classic! can't beat this movie even as Scorceses best film next to Taxi Driver, Departed and more.

I just got berated on an imdb board for not liking the Sopranos as much as Goodfellas! lmao-there is no comparison. The first two seasons of The Sopranos were alright, after that I felt it fell off. I especially wanted to smack the **** out of Meadow Soprano, the spoiled brat that she was. And the son Anthony Jr. was a freak too.
