This is perhaps Bill Murray's most underappreciated work, and one in which he proves himself a quite competent director with an amusing tale where he robs a bank, but can't quite seem to get out of town, instead taking a trip through the screwer side of New York. A great supporting cast including Geena Davis, Randy Quaid, Jason Robards, Phil Hartman, Tony Shalhoub, and Stanley Tucci adds to the lunacy of life in the Big Apple gone awry. I'd say Quaid's painful exit from Shalhoub's cab after it becomes clear he has no clue where they asked him to take him is the best of many memorable moments.

I love this movie Chris. I have mentioned it here before too a while back. Very under-appreciated.

I agree that is a clever underrated flick. If you haven't seen it, you should give it a try.

I remember when my friend was filming this movie as an extra and he had Bill Murray call my work to talk to me. Unfortunately I had just taken my break and wasn't there to take the call.
You can see my friend walking out of the airport when Bill Murray walks into the airport. He's behind him and kind of blurry but it's him.

I see that Bill Murray made his directing/producing debut with this picture. Does anybody know why at all he hasn't directed/produced another film since?

I don't think the film was that well received (or successful). Maybe it put him off?
