Just bought it for keeps today (at discount for $8). It's definitely a prime candidate for the Walt Disney Company's best live action film of the 90s, one Walt himself probably would have loved to have made back in the day if he'd had the technology to do so. Especially find the production design to be grade A; one does feel emmersed in the flavor of late 30s L.A., and the special effects still largely hold up today. A pretty solid cast and arguably one of the very best live action Disney climaxes all add up to a thoroughly enjoyable experience all in all.

I love this movie and have the dvd. You´re right that there´s magical action/adventure "feel" in this one. Featuring again lovely Jen Connelly and made right after Career Opportunities.
