Being John Malkovich (1999) starring John Cusack, Cameron Diaz, John Malkovich and Catherine Keeler.

This is a really, and I mean really strange flick. If you've not watched it, go do so now. That's an order from your moderator.... [Smile]

Escape from L.A. (1996)

Ha, i didn´t remember that this was set in 2013 so it was a perfect time to re-watch the movie.
It´s stupid and fun, tongue in cheek, over the top sequel and i love it.

The mid-90s computer sfx looks pretty bad at times but that´s just part of the charm.
The cast is great and the score rocks.

Not a classic like the original but you have to remember that this was the 90s [Cool]

Cold Sweat (1993)

"Mark Cahill is a good family man with a loving wife and two wonderful children.
Mark also happens to be a hit man who is haunted by his last victim, a blonde,
who keeps appearing in his bedroom at the worst of times.
His life becomes even more complicated when he becomes caught up in the schemes of two business partners,
one of the partner's spouse and her boyfriend(s)." (IMDb)

This was a good Canadian erotic thriller directed by Gail Harvey.
The movie stars Ben Cross, Shannon Tweed, Adam Baldwin, Dave Thomas, Henry Czerny and Lenore Zann.

Interesting story, good cast and steamy love scenes.

"End of Days" (1999) with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gabriel Byrne and Robin Tunney.

A depressed alcoholic cop (Schwarzenegger) must protect a young woman (Tunney) who will become Satan's (Byrne) new bride.

A very terrible horror thriller film with bad acting, an overblown story and not that much scares coming from director Peter Hyams.

Escape (1990, shot in 1988)

This was a stupid but fun little thriller with an interesting cast:
Kim Richards, Kin Shriner, Judson Scott, Elizabeth Jeager, Kyle Richards and Kim Milford.

Just found the scandi dvd lying in a second hand store.
Solid synth score, pretty ladies, weird behavior and the ghost of Wallburg.
BTW, nothing from the poster can be seen in the film [Smile]

The 13th Warrior (1999) starring Antonio Banderas and directed by John McTiernan. Very mediocre historic fiction action movie based on the book "Eaters of the Dead" by Michael Crichton.

Lots of scantily clad babes and the always freaky looking Robert Z'Dar. [Big Grin]

Never seen it though. I do have Shervan's Samurai Cop though, which has some of the same cast,
plus Melissa Moore and porn-star Krista Lane.. ooh la la.. [Big Grin]

Trancers II (1991)

Great b-movie cast but amazingly boring and clumsy sequel. What a waste.

Blue Tiger (1994)

"A woman dedicates her life to seeking revenge after her son is killed
by crossfire as Japanese gangsters perform a hit." (IMDb)

This was a decent action thriller directed by Norberto Barba.
The film stars Virginia Madsen, Toru Nakamura, Dean Hallo, Ryo Ishibashi and Harry Dean Stanton.
You can also see Virginia´s brother Michael Madsen in a small role.

Madsen is good and looks great like she always does but somehow the movie never fulfill it´s potential.

Psychic (1991)

"A serial killer is terrorizing a small college town.
When a student begins to have psychic visions of the killer with clues as to who he is,
he gives this information to the police - only to find that he himself is suspected of committing the murders." (IMDb)

This was a cool little thriller directed by George Mihalka (Pinball Summer, My Bloody Valentine).
The movie stars Zach Galligan, Catherine Mary Stewart, Michael Nouri and Albert Schultz.

Galligan was very good, he and CMS had a great chemistry.
The story is typical and the ending seemed a bit rushed but i liked this one.

"Four Rooms" (1995). Aside from pretty good segments by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino, the whole affair was a complete letdown especially from the first part of the movie with the coven of witches.

All-star cast led by Tim Roth also includes Antonio Banderas, Jennifer Beals, Valeria Golino, Madonna, Ione Skye, Lili Taylor, Marisa Tomei, Tamlyn Tomita and Bruce Willis in an uncredited role.

Empire Records (1995)

A Slightly above average coming of age/teen movie from the 90's that I'm pretty sure most here should have seen already. With a good cast of characters and among one of the better 90's soundtracks, This is definitely one that can still give me that warm and fuzzy nostalgic 90's feeling whenever I watch.

Hard To Kill (1990)

It can easily be considered an 80's movie, since its US release-date was february 1990..
but hey, i hardly ever post anything in the 90's section on this site, so here it is ! [Big Grin]

I thought it was a decent early effort from Seagal. Pretty entertaining when you're in the mood for this kind of stuff.
