Remember this short-lived TGIF series? I did the other night and still think it could have gone a little longer than one season (being stuck in the 9:30 death slot that no show survived in during the block's run didn't help; at least most of the younger cast members got new work on the admittedly lesser Step by Step the following year). While the writing was about the same as other TGIF shows (best meant for younger viewers), the actors made the most of it and a bit more. One show I do remember well was when they got worked up over a gypsy's prediction that various bad things would happen, culminating with Death coming, only to find out to amusing effect that it was really more mundane things that came to pass (Death being only the big biker guy working at the appliance store downtown; I think he also ended up with his pal Slasher on SbS). And their theme song would probably be second only to Perfect Strangers's as the block's best, especially when combined with the great cinematography of the Pacific and SoCal they got to go with it. Anyone else have any memories of it, fond or not?
