I believe its late 90s or so. Anyway, some 20ish year old guy was asked by a friend to do a drug pick up or something (lost some money) and something went wrong and druglords were after him through the whole movie, he needed money to pay them back, he even had to prostitute out his girl friend and she becomes a target too....all to find out it was a big elaborate prank put on by his friends. The movie was extremely intense to me. I have been trying for years to remember a title but it did come on tv I remember. Anyone know. Thanks!

It's definitely not The Game... I saw this on tv within the last year - it was a lower budget movie from what I can recall, from the late 90s or early 00's.
Sorry but the name escapes me

The movie you are looking for is probably Best Laid Plans. Actually a very intense movie as you mentioned. I watched it because of Reese Witherspoon.
