It may have been a tv movie. All I remember is there is this couple, and the husband(atleast I think it's her husband) goes crazy over something, and builds this wooden maze inside of the house, trapping his wife. And he keeps creating new rooms and closing off others with large pieces of plywood. There's a scene where the woman is able to look through a hole in the wood and see her husband starting up a chainsaw.
Sorry to be so vague, but that's about all I can remember.

Could be 'Buried Alive' with Jennifer Jason Leigh, this was Frank 'The Shawshank Redemption' Darabont's second film.
