This is definitely a top 10 John Candy film for me. It's a nice unique touch seeing him try and be the dashing romantic type for once, only to find at the end he's best being what he's always been--and how we remember him. Not to mention it's a quite amusing take on the world of soaps, from the standard ridiculous overacting to the expectedly absurd plotlines (don't they always explain every character's return from the dead as amnesia?).
Who else likes it?

Oh yeah. One of my favorite Candy flicks. And also surprisingly original in it's storyline.

Funny I just watched this the other day on TV and it was a very creative film. I wouldn't say it was my favorite film with him in it but I loved the storyline. I wish that someone would do another cute little movie like this one soon!

Actually, I'm trying to find it on DVD. Looks like a good movie, from what I hear about it.

Watched Delirious last night. It was a decent comedy but not a classic by any means.
John Candy is great of course and i loved to see Emma Samms, such a foxy lady. I liked the Jim Peterik (Survivor, Pride of Lions) co-penned end credits tune Beyond Our Wildest Dreams which was performed by John Melnick.

This is one of those films where the more you watch it, the more you like it. You get to know each character and their overacting (as it is a soap opera).

This. Exactly this.
This is why I may now need to watch this myself later....
