I just watched it with my son, and I thought it was pretty good, for the type of movie that it was. It was like War of the Worlds meets Twister.

It wasn't that far fetched, my son loves science, and he reads and watches everything he can that has to do with science, and he was telling me that North America moves closer towards the Pacific Ocean, about 1 inch per year, and in like a million years from now, we are going to hit in to China. I find stuff like that to be really fascinating. We really don't know that much about what all has happened since the beginning of time, but I have always been fascinated with the weather. What I think is neat is how we were a solid mass of land at one time, and that over time and with earthquakes.. is how we formed in to the continents that we have now.

This movie was pretty good at the end, because it gave at least somewhat of a message to people, by saying that we are consuming all of the Earth's natural resources at such a rapid rate that this is what the effect could be eventually.

I also noticed that in the one scene at a party after the scholastic decathalon thing, they were playing the song "Do you really want to hurt me" by Culture Club in the background.

I saw the movie. I guess it's just because I don't like apocalyptic type movies, but I didn't like it. I didn't like War of the Worlds either. But I'm glad you were interested in it--the closest movie I could think of that I like was Tornado!, and that was just because of Bruce Campbell, ha.

Oh I couldn't hardly sit through this one. I really like Jake Gyllenhaal to but this was just so unrealistic for me. I couldn't get into it at all.

I don't think it's unbelievable because we are experiencing global warming, and the Earth does have a life span, because the sun does, and eventually we will freeze to death, cause the sun will burn out...but it wasn't believable that Dennis Quaid predicts all this to start happening in about 150 years, and the next day it starts...it's like...yeah ok, you were a little bit off. It was unbelievable though that Dennis Quaid walked to New York City from wherever he was, that was impossible.

But, the effects for it.....if they are going to use effects...like the CGI stuff...this was the kind of movie to do that in. There's certain movies that it works for...other than that.... film a movie the way they use to be filmed, so that the movie seems real, and not all done on a computer.

This was a pretty good natural disaster-type movie in my opinion. I agree that the special effects were awesome! The whole story line was interesting as well.
