For some reason, this happens to be a Disney sequel that almost everyone likes. All the others get booed on...

Yep, they gave it pretty much the lavishness they gave their normal features at the time, and it pays off wonderfully. Walt never liked doing any sequels, but I think he would have been happy with this tale. As usual, John Candy steals the show as Wilbur the albatross; his pathetic wimpering during his innoucuation at customs is evocative of Johnny LaRue's similar breakdowns.
