I thought I’d mention this one being as we are coming up to Halloween and it’s a little bit spooky!! It seems this one is a little over-looked, here in the UK anyway. I saw it at the cinema being a M J Fox fan but don’t know many others who did. I thought it was good then and have seen it since (although not in a few years) an still thought it was a good film. M J Fox’s star was definitely on the wane by the time this was released, I’m sure it would have done a lot better if he had made it at the height of his fame, when he was more in ‘fashion’.
If you haven’t seen it then I do recommend it as a somewhat comedy horror. Some really good effects involving the ghosts.
It’s got John Astin in it, whose the dad of the now more famous Sean ( look up johns history on the link, you maybe surprised who he is and what his been in)

I saw this at the cinema also. it was cool! Peter Jackson makes brilliant use of special effects and a creepy storyline. the film also stars genre favourites Jeffrey (RE-ANIMATOR) Combs, R. Lee Ermey and Dee Wallace Stone. there's finally a special edition dvd soon!

It is totally a comedy horror flick. The guy that played that creepy slicked back haired guy was kooky!
I did see all of the films that Sean Astin is getting involved in. He is one of those guys that when I see him now I don't even picture him from Goonies. I have no idea why, but he doesn't look like the little Mikey I remember.
Back to The Frighteners, I didn't even see this until like 2000. It was one of those that I was iffy on and then ended up loving once I saw it.
This is one that I definately need to add to my collection!

I saw it on the Sci-Fi Channel a few weeks ago--It's a great movie. I remember seeing it a long time ago and not remembering the title, just Michael J. Fox and the numbers on the people's foreheads. I saw it on TV and I was like, "YES! I remember this!" I should pick it up sometime.
