I watched "13 Going On 30" for the first time tonight. Awesome 80's music including Rick Springfield and The Go Gos. I thought Jennifer Garner did an admirable job, but the real star of the movie was Mark Ruffalo..... because every guy remembers the crush he had on a girl that thought of him as only as a friend. So Sad.
Did anyone else like this movie?

Never saw it. I do know that the plot was ripped off from "Big", and although Garner's character jumped from 1987 to the modern day, she somehow latched onto Vanilla Ice's "Ice, Ice Baby", which she wouldn't have been able to experience in its' original time period.
Sincerely,
John Kilduff

I saw it once and I don't ever really need to see it again. It was okay, the music obviously appealed to me and I don't mind Jennifer Garner but it was just kinda blah overall.

I won't ever watch it again either......I thought it was BLAH too!
It was like you said....OK.
See a movie like Mean Girls had more of an 80's movie feel to it...to me then 13 going on 30....Especially now that Jen is a Benifer Sequel she loses her cool appeal to me.

I thought 13 going on 30 was a great movie.loved it.My fave scene was when Jen went back to her parents house and locked herself in the cupboard while the Billy Joel song played (vienna!apparently).I dont like Billy Joel but thought that was a great song to use,I just loved the line ''slow down you crazy child'' But yeah great movie.

"Bennifer sequel" Bennifer II: Attack of the clones
I bet you cheer for Colin Farrell when he’s kicking Ben & Jen’s assess in ‘Daredevil’
I've not seen this movie but it looks like fun in much the same way as 'Legally Blonde' was quite enjoyable, Jennifer Garner can be rathur annoying at the best of times, but I liked her as Elektra.

Like did anyone else pick-up on the fact that Cindy & Muffy must have been six chicks in high school and this movie brings back bad memories?

I liked this movie - it probably wasn't on a par with any originals but it was up there. I really didn't like 'The Wedding Singer' so I guess I liked this compared to that.

"The Wedding Singer" wasn't bad. But feels fake and contrived. The 80's references in that movie seem forced, and I think it would've been a LOT different if it were actually made during the 80's!

wedding singer was cute, but yeah, it was way more 80s than the 80s ever were.

something about Jennifer Garner's face bothers me. Is is that she looks like she has too many teeth in her mouth?????
I liked the movie though (13 Going on 30) although it does not touch the hems of the robes of THE WEDDING SINGER!
