This is a very good take on Casper. Although a few moments go a little over the top, the story flows well and the humor works beautifully (my favorite being where they possess Bill Pullman so he keeps morphing, especially the Rodney Dangerfield bit). A good piece of family entertainment that holds up well a decade later.

I think this is a great movie. Christina Ricci is great in it, and I think it's a good movie for kids even now. It had a more serious tone to it than most kids movies at times, and I think it worked in the movie's favor.

Yep. He goes from Clint to Rodney to I'm not quite sure to the Cryptkeeper.

I love Casper!! This is absolutely the perfect time of year to watch it too. It has become a favorite of my son's which means it is one that I don't mind watching over and over again.
I like the song that is in it, but I cannot remember what it is called.
Everyone that was cast was done so brilliantly. I love the effects too because they weren't to over the top that you were going, "YEAH RIGHT"!
Great picture!!

The song was called "Remember Me This Way" by Jordan Hill...It was a lovely ballad and I would've liked to see it get an Oscar nomination.
I'm a big fan of this movie, but not just because of the cast or the script (which was co-written by Sherri Stoner, one of my all-time favorite talents).
This movie came out the same year that my dad died. It was released about a month-and-a-half after he passed. I really wanted to see it...The commercials excited me. What I got was a movie that made me think about my life at the time. I really did want to see my dad again...I still do. It's the whole issue of unfinished business. There's so much I wanted to say to him...I wanted to tell him goodbye, I wanted to say one last time that I loved him, I wanted to confront him about things he said to me over the years.
Jesus, I can't believe it's been a decade. I miss him...I really do. I'd give up everything to see him one last time. I miss him, I love him, I'm furious at him for dying...
It sucks.
Sincerely,
John Kilduff

That's a sad story, John. I'm sorry you lost your father.

Casper is an outstanding movie. My favorite part is where Casper gets to come back to life for a few moments to dance with Kat. Very touching and Christina Ricca played a very loveable character.

This is a movie where the special effects served the purpose of the movie, and weren't just stuck in for no reason.
Did anyone else like it?
It is a good Halloween movie.
I saw that movie with my grandma, & now I have it on video! It is absolutely marvelous!
