I have to admit, this was supposed to be one of the worst films of 1993 but I loved it. I loved the house that the film was made in. It was definately something so different that made you think, WHAT do people think sometimes. I am glad that it wasn't made with Kim Basinger because I don't think it would have been as good. I thought that Sherilyn Fenn did an outstanding job as the gripey stuck up Helena. Julian Sands, boy what a geek in this one.
This is the only film that I have seen him in and it would be hard for me to see him in anything else.
I have to admit the music choice in this was also right on. I love Tears for Fears "Woman In Chains". I also loved " I can't make you Love me" which was sung buy a guy, whom I don't know the name of, and later released by Bonnie Raitt. This is a soundtrack that I might need to search for because it would be totally awesome.
Did anyone else like this flick, or hate it?? Please let us know!

Yeah I liked this movie too. It had Julian Sands and Helena Bonham Carter in it. She was the girl from Fight Club. If I'm not mistaking, Kim Basinger was originally supposed to play Helena Bonham Carter's role...

No wait...not helena Bonham Carter.... Sherilyn Fenn!
And, yes, Kim Basinger had to go to court over verbally agreeing to do the movie and then pulling out.

I think that Kim Basinger actually lost like 8 million dollars by not doing that movie and had to file for bankruptcy.

And she did a REALLLLY bad movie instead of it anyway. Cant remember what it was called...she was a cat burglar(???) She should have just done BOXING HELENA. How bad could it have hurt her already illin' resume that includes stinkers like BLIND DATE and MY STEPMOTHER IS AN ALIEN?

Hey, I liked "Blind Date"!
Seriously, though, the movie where Basinger played a cat burglar was entitled "The Real McCoy". They were airing it a lot on AMC a few months back.
