I really enjoyed and thought it a terrible shame when it was cancelled.
The first season was very good, but the 2nd season is when it really started to come into it's own. It was building a great mythology and the final episodes were setting the show up for several years of exciting times, what with the creation of the mutant nation in the middle of Seattle.

I have both seasons on DVD and I thought it was a great show. I don't know why they cancelled it so early. Fox cancelles shows that seem to be doing fine for no reason it seems. Like Firefly for instance. Fox only gave it 13 episodes and pulled the plug and now it's going ot be a major motion picture this month-Serenity. I wish James Cameron would bring Dark Angel to the big screen. He could set it about 5 years or so into the future from where the series left off. With Jessica Alba's recent popularity I'm sure it would do pretty good at the box office.
