I actually liked them alot, and love the songs...Higher, With Arms Wide Open and My Sacrifice. I liked the lead singer. They didn't last long, what happened to them??

What happened to them? Well once they ran out of ideas of how to rip Pearl Jam off...Actually they had this terrible gig where the singer Scott Stapp was too drunk to perform or remember the lyrics to the songs which I am sure is what contributed to the breakup. Then some fans sued the band to get their money back, and Creed's lawyers argues that it was a "unique" gig or something. Anyway, they were never that impressive to me, I would rather see the original grung bands like Soundgarden or Pearl Jam perform.

alter bridge is ...yuck. i liked some of creed's songs. i would never classify them as grunge though. they were just ...alt rock, or something. it sucks when bands break up. i was shocked to learn creed split up, because i didn't know any stories or gossip about them, so..... but 'sacrafice' and 'what if' are cool songs.

The other guys quite the band because they hated the lead singer. Then they went off and formed a new band together with a new singer.

The whole concept of the ego was what squashed Creed. Plus the fact that they were the posterchild of what's wrong with alot of music today. Dave Grohl, lead singer of the Foo Fighters, did a hilarious rendition of their song "With Arms Wide Open." Any true Creed basher or those who just want a laugh should download it from whatever music download site you use. It's definitely worth a listen...

I liked their "Arms Wide Open" song, but that's it.
There was something about Creed's songs that just rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe because it sounded too much the same as each other.

I agree they all do sound similiar...almost as if you could interchange the lyrics and it all be one song. Like they all blend together.

I always thought that Scott Stapp was talentless and a sneaky rip-off artist. I mean from the style of his singing to the music they palyed, was a ll re-hashed crap from other bands. The did not have their own identity and lets face it, they just plain sucked.

Stapp was really too much into himself as well. It seems the whole band was into themselves too much. They will probably be on "Hit Me Baby One More Time" 20 years from now. God I hope not...

Pearl Jam Wannabes. Could have made it even bigger than they did, but there egos got in the way. They missed their window and they have faded away.
I've seen the wicked fruit of your vine Destroy the man who lacks a strong mind Human pride sings a vengeful song Inspired by the times you've been walked on My stage is shared by many millions Who lift their hands up high because they feel this We are one We are strong The more you hold us down the more we press on
