I think this is one of best movies of the 90's and of all time for that matter. I bought it a while back and watch it regularly w/ my friends. We sit around and drink to it, it's great. I even downloaded every song from the movie and made a 2 disc soundtrack. My favorite character is Slater. I was wondering what you guys think of the movie, and who is your favorite character?

Great Topic louise_miller. This is one of my all time favorite movies. I bought the DVD last year. I just wish it had more extras. My favorite character has to be Randall "Pink" Floyd(Jason London), because he's the coolest and people sometimes tell me I look like him. Being told I look like Jason London dosen't hurt my feelings. I also like Joey Lauren Adams in this film. very cute!
and of course the soundtrack is awesome. My parents raised me on those tunes.

What a great film! I like it because it's so real and not over done with sex and raunchy comedy like most teen movies. It also seperates itself from the overly cheesed out teen flix as well. This is also one of my all time favorite films. Thanks for bringing it up!

This is a classic movie. The soundtrack is incredible and the characters are memoriable!
This is definitely a movie you can watch over and over. It's fun to watch Ben Affleck and Matthew McConaughy before they were STARS!
There are several enjoyable quotes from this movie, which was your favorite?

Wooderson is definitely my favorite character. "Foosball...All right"
McConaughy's first and greatest role...Give or take a couple (A Time to Kill, Frailty) he's been downhill ever since.

I feel that this movie was never intended to be a teen-flick. To me it's more like "The Breakfast Club" where it's meant to be a movie based on character development and interaction. Also both movies are a snapshot of single day in the lives of the characters. I love this movie and all the characters are very real and believable. The soundtrack is incredible.
My favorite character would have to be Slater. He's always worth a laugh or two not so much for what he says, but more for his expressions which are hilarious.
My two favorite quotes:
Slater: "I Never get shotgun"
Wooderson: "Thats what I like about these high school girls, man; I get older, they stay the same age"

this movie is another of my favorites. love the parker posey. but my favorite character would have to be slater, with little freshman mitch kramer in close second. funny stuff. "little brother, is that a beer in your hand?" "why, yes it is."

Its hard to choose which character is the funniest because they all have really classic funny parts. I like the part when Wooderson says to Mitch "hey man you got a joint? It'd be a lot cooler if you did" and I love the part in the beginning when Slater and Pink go to Pickfords house and Slater steps on the flowers and you hear this crunch sound. I could go on and on about this movie!
