who liked this fun movie about 4 bandmates/friends who go on a wild goose chase to make it to a KISS concert one night in 1978? i thought this movie was great. i like some kiss stuff, but was never an all-the-way fan, but you don't have to be a fan to like this movie.
lin shaye does a great job as jam's overprotective, over-religious mother who is determined to ruin the boys' idea of traveling to detroit to see the band they worship.
the opening credits are cool to watch, as you see clips of kiss memorabilia, including comics, figurines, archive live footage, and other events that took place in that year, while listening to good old LOVE GUN.
thumbs up for me

I too love the performance of Lin Shaye as she gives her usual awesome performance and the opening credits are cool too. I also feel this soundtrack is second to only "Dazed and Confused" I am a big kiss fan and have seen them three times. Never in Detroit and never a wild goose chase to get there but this movie has a teriffic 70's feel to it.
The fight with the disco "guidos" and "stellas" by the side of the road is one of my favorite scenes in this movie.
Great choice Ronnie one great great movie.

Funniest scene is where Furlong has to strip for money and KC & The Sunshine Band starts playing. What follows is just too funny. The dvd is pretty neat with all its special features and videos.

the dvd is too cluttered and not user friendly but once you figure it out theres good things to see.
I shudder at the thought of having to hide Kiss records in my moms Carly Simon record jackets

I wish Pantera would have made a video for Cat Srcatch Fever. I thought they did a pretty good job.

my fave scenes are when the stellas and guidos are first spotted in their gold colored car, singing along to MAKIN IT, (david naughton's one hit wonder). then i also like the scene where the guys are in the elevator at the radio station just after they learned that they didn't win the kiss tickets, thanks to trip. it's dead silence, then they go nuts and attack him. haha classic. i have the dvd, but have not got around to the special features.

Classic line from this movie during the fight between the kiss fans and the guidos:
Guido: Have ya learned your lesson, punk?
Hawk: If the lesson is you're a **** with ears and a really bad haircut, yeah, I'd say I've learned my lesson.
