I would have to say The Joy Luck Club was one of the best movies of the 90's. It is a very touching and emotional movie about the lives of 4 asian mothers.

Any Kevin Smith movie is a best. He is a genius with his wit and comic timing. Most people only know his Jay and Silent Bob movies but he has a few lost ones out there. Suggest seein those as well as his J&SB movies especially DOgma.

Normally I would make a long list...but I haven't gotten a chance to really think about it...but there is one movie in particular that I love!...REMEMBER THE TITANS...This is the type of movie that you can watch over and over! I was upset that this film didn't win any awards because it was great!! The music was great too...and the fact that it's based on a true story makes it even better! Two of the films I love from the 90s would have to be Dazed And Confused and Inventing The Abbotts. I love both of those movies, they're very endearing.

best concert? hmmm. saw quite a few, some memorable ones that spring to mind are Tina Turner, Neil Diamond, Mike & The Mechanics, Big Country (twice), Jimmy Barnes (twice), Jeff Healey Band, Crash Test Dummies, Def Leppard, Bryan Adams, Green Day, ummmm...

You know I always thought that the Sharpe series were great movies of the 90s. Pretty much no one in the U.S. has seen them which is a shame. I'm a huge Sean Bean fan so that's how I got into Sharpe. They played the series here once on Masterpiece Theatre which airs on public television but who watches that? The ratings weren't that great I guess, so they haven't shown them since. Hello everyone, I'm new to the group. I really have enjoyed reading some of the post. In this particular discussion I have heard some great 90's movies favorable mention. I would have to say that the best movie from this time period to me would be "The Last Of The Mohicans" James Fenimore Cooper's novel is really brought to life by Director Michael Mann. Mann's talent for pulling you into a film is helped immensely by his lead actors. Daniel Day-Lewis and Madeleine Stowe. And what can be said about the Soundtrack to give it justice. This is another extraordinary album, combining heart-throbbing tracks from Trevor Jones and more laid back themes from Randy Edelman. In fact, though it's not the best movie of all time, I'd say that the soundtrack is the best thing I've ever heard. Download track 1.Main Title, 2.Elk Hunt, 3.The Kiss and see for yourself. Well, that's my sick opinion. Sorry, still learnin how to be short and sweet.
