Often Copied, (and badly ripped off) but NEVER equalled. The story, the chemistry among the cast, the setting, the jokes and pranks, the script, the soundtrack, the Direction and Production, all of it is absolutely genius with some many quotable lines.
It is the definition of perfection in College Movies and going on 37 years it's still top of the class.
So, to quote Bluto, "grab a brew, don't cost nothin'", put it on and enjoy this riotous comedy.

I bought this the other day for like 8 bucks. It has some good commentary on it too.
Apparently Belushi could be very full on (I am sure you already knew that) and when he smashed the guitar against the wall, the guy who he grabbed it off was really shaking because of the intensity that Belushi had when he smashed it.
That bottle of Jack Daniel's that Belushi skulls was probably coke or something but with someone like Belushi it would not surprise me if it really was Jacks (I don't think it was though cos it would be pretty difficult to skull a bottle of straight spirits plus the colour does not look right either).
Great movie though!

Belushi smashing the guitar is one of the best scenes Bernie.

For sure - I would love to do that - I have a bit of a guitar collection but couldn't bring myself to do it. I reckon it would feel great though.
Belushi is king! Bluto for president!
One of the scenes that always cracks me up is when the dean is reading out their GPA's. Classic stuff.

"Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son..." So many great scenes. So many quotable lines. My personal favorite scene is when the guys are deciding what to do, and Tim Matheson rises and says, "Niedermeyer...dead." And Belushi gives perhaps the greatest motivational speech in movie history, "when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor." Perfect.

It's funny how a movie gets a different title based on where it was released. Delta Gang is not a bad one I guess.
The worst title I have heard though was when Teen Wolf was released in Italy - Trying to capitalise on the success of Back to the Future, Teen Wolf was released with the Title "Boy from the Future" - like how would that work?
I mean I know they could have changed the dialogue a bit because it would have had Italian subtitles but if you are seeing a guy change into a wolf and playing basketball, how are they going to work in a narrative of him going back in time (unless they cut scenes in from Back to the Future???)
I dunno.
