Looking for the name of a John Carpenter movie from the 70's ( I believe ) but I cannot remember the name and cannot find it in any of the lists of his movies. It was about some evil force coming from the television, and when people watched the t.v. they went crazy and no-one knew what was happening to the town, until they realised it was evil being transmitted via the t.v.'s.
Does anyone remember this film , please?

Hi. I agree. "They Live" is fantastic, but that's not the one. The one I'm thinking of was an earlier film, before 1983 for sure, likely the 70's. It was sort of hokey, and not just a radio transmission, it was people literally watching television, and something from the screen caused them to go crazy.

I tend to agree Halloween 3 is punishment for assault and battery in some countries. Jay that was classic. Helen, I don't mind your opinion but 2 is my personal favorite.

Possibly, Carpenter, Cronenberg. Around the same era for directors, but I have not seen this one either. I have heard about it alot though.

Videodrome is amazing! Love it, one of Cronenberg's best. I kind of like Halloween III: Season of the Witch because it has Tommy Atkins in it, it tries something different with the formula, and you can't get that little jingle out of your head once you've heard it.
