Awesome remake of the 1956 Sci-fi horror classic and more in the tradition of the novel, i enjoyed both since i was a kid in the early 90's. Scary and chilling stuff this remake with Donald Sutherland and Leonard Nimoy is plus Jeff Goldblum in one of his earlier days.

Last time i watched this was in the mid 90s so i need to check it out again.
I remember liking it very much.

I didn't see this thread before and just posted it in last 70's horror I watched. This movie was great and genuinely disturbing. I was glad it ended the way it did (although the ending could have been better). I won't say anyomre otherwise I'll ruin it for people who are yet to see it. Beeen putting off watching it for years and glad I finally did.

Please don't tell me anything about it, but is it worth watching the original version?

Yes, it's worth it. But it feels very 50's, so don't expect too much.
