It was in the 70s, and I thought I seen it at the showcase. It was a teenage boy finds an alien weapon (doesn’t work), and is playing around with it in the desert when he stumbles on the amulet that activates it. Then he goes around shooting the weapon and as he uses it, it causes a growth in his chests where the amulet rests, the doctors cant figure out what it is and cut it out, but the boy keeps on using the weapon and it grows back, until the alien owner shows up for it, then all hell breaks out. Any ideas Thanks

Look for it also on MST3K compilation sets; it was riffed about midway through Mike's tenure as host.
