Do you guys remember the Kiss movie, I can't remember the name of it, I know it was on regular TV, and I remember watching it, in the 6th grade, and I loved it. Everyone loved Kiss, I still love them. Was the movie called Rock and Roll All Night, I remember it had something to do with a carnival, does anyone know if you can buy it anywhere????

I am not a KISS fan, and I never saw it, but it was called "KISS Meets The Phantom of the Dark", a TV-movie shown on the NBC-TV network in late October 1978, just a few days before Halloween! The villain was played by Anthony Zerbe, a longtime character actor who recently appeared in the last two "Matrix" movies.
It was filmed at the Six Flags/Magic Mountain amusement park in Valencia, Calif.

Actually it was called Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park I was a huge Kiss fan in the 70's and even I knew the movie was a stinker. But I forgave them and still love their music.

I bought it on eBay as well. Its a good cult classic kitschy movie, not without its charms. Even my little girl gets a kick out of it.(I think the title on mine is just KISS MEETS THE PHANTOM) another good KISS movie is DETROIT ROCK CITY

I got it, it was so awesome. I loved that they had super powers. The whole thing was very futuristic. The storyline was pretty cool, and the effects were neat. I liked that the doctor was creating cyber people out of the teens he kidnapped, and that he created doubles of Kiss. It was neat watching them do their superheros stuff- like jumping over the walls , and Gene breathing fire. I thought that was so awesome. I really don't remember it at all. The girl in it-Deborah Ryan was really pretty, does anyone know if she was in anything else???

I agree 100%!!!! I watched it not expecting anything special and there's a few parts that actually made me laugh out loud. The soundtrack is right up there with Dazed and Confusedas being my all time favorite soundtrack. Good rock 'n roll all around.

I finally got it on DVD as it was included on Kissology Vol.2. I thought it could have been better but had some fun monents, and was Ace Frehley's character's voice dubbed? Didn't sound at all like him.

Although bizarrely, in a couple of scenes they appear to have an African-American actor filling in for Ace for whatever reason.
For those who haven't seen it, a review is posted at agonybooth.com, pointing out among other things that there's an international cut as well with noteable differences from the version released here in North America.

They all look better with make up- and now they look better because you can't tell they have aged with the make up on.
Gene Simmons creeps me out in the video for Lick it Up- with the make up off.
Paul Stanley always had a very feminine look to him, and even his voice is very feminine.
I can't believe that they actually pulled off going 10 years with nobody knowing who they are. Or that someone didn't get a picture of them...all you would have had to do, is get them coming and going.

There was a lot of secrecy with protecting the identity of the Kiss members, a lot of the magazines knew what they looked liked without the makeup, but business was too good that it was agreed to keep it quiet. Nowadays, they would have never gotten away with it.
I think Gene was in some 80's movies, always thought he would have made a perfect Devil/Lucifer with horns and red makeup.

I used to like KISS quite a bit but I have a hard time listening to any of their music because Gene Simmons sold that band out way too much. Plus I feel Simmons is a big pompous a$$.

You can never mess with the original lineup, I was lucky enough to see them back together in 96. Simmons/Stanley were always the businessmen and Frehley/Criss were the better musicians IMO. I can really agree with Kiss being too corporate over the years, but as for filling fans needs, those Kissvision Vol.1-3 were a stroke of marketing genius I wish more bands were capable of putting out.

I have to correct you on this. They are called Kissology vol. 1-3 not Kissvision. Kissvision DVDs are bootlegs.
