The Raspberries tune is more well known(at least stateside) but I will go with Crabby Appleton

Man, I'm floored. I never heard that Crabby Appleton song in my life, let alone the group. We used to have this TV commercial for buying 60's-70's music, the sligan was Is that Freedom Rock? Well turn it up man! I immediately though of that tag when I was was hearing it.
I still got to go with the Rasberries song though, such 70's power pop confection. Believe it or not, as much as I like the Raspberries, I still think Big Star were the greatest group to have done that kind of music in the 70's. Too bad nobody bought their records.

I've looked down on the 70's for the longest time, but lately I am getting into some of the more rock 70's stuff like Raspberries and Cheap Trick. Any other bands like this should look out for?
