I love this movie...it is one of my all time favorite movies ever. I love the music in this movie. I never get sick of it, but it makes me sad to watch it...because they kill King Kong, and now because of the World Trade Center.
I remember when it came out at the movies. I had the Kong Kong puzzle, and I was crazy about this movie.
I haven't seen it from beginning to end in awhile. I should watch it.
I remember the first time I went to Universal Studios in Florida they had the King Kong ride, and I loved it...but they have taken it out to make room for something else.
I presume you are referring to the 1976 version, with Jessica Lange?

Yeah, this movie was great. They came out with keychains that had some of King Kong's fur in it. I wanted one really bad, but I didn't get one. I got the lunchbox instead. That was cool.

The 1976 version of King Kong sucked. The 2000's version was way better, and I certainly prefer the 1933 original....
Sorry to rain on the parade, but I had to say that...

I like them all, (even 'King Kong Lives' is great for a laugh: Linda Hamilton, what were you thinking?) the colorised version of Kong (1933) is actually pretty decent all things considered. I dig this version mainly because its the fist one I ever saw. Love that 'King Kong' reference in the movie 'Pheonix'

Liked the '76 version the best, plus Bridges looks like Jesus and Lange shows boobage!

It fills me with great shame (ha ha ) to admit I have never seen the original KING KONG. Maybe PARTS of it, but beginning-to-end? No. Same can be said for the '70s version, my husband is a BIG fan of it and once when we were on vacation he caught some of it on TV so I saw SOME of it, but not all.
The modern version with Jack Black? Ugh! I hated that movie! Tryed to stick it out but didnt make it to the end.
