Are you sute that FEELINGS song was in it? Morris Albert sang that so I looked on his www.imdb.com page and even though that song has been used in TV shows and movies it doesn't seem to mention any movie that sounds like the one you describe.

Gosh, I remember going to see that film at the cinema. It was called 'Last Feelings'. I have a feeling that it was a foreign film, but dubbed.
PS: There was a similar film out around that time called 'The Last Snows of Spring', another tearjerker :-)
