Give it up for, without a shadow of a doubt, the best British gangster film that has ever been made! It's, to this DAY, the best example of when something works, my god it WORKS! It batters Get Carter in my opinion. Bob Hoskins at his absolute menacing best and just quote that dialogue.
'The human spirograph the kids called him, and he was a very popular guy.'
'Colin's been stabbed, a bomb in my casino and you say nothing unusual?'
'Frostbite or verbals, right? One or the other!'

I thought it was an early 80's movie, but maybe it's a late-70's movie. But anyway, I still would love to see this movie, if I get the chance.
After having bought "Sexy Beast" (2000), I'm aching for another good British crime film!

Ooops, yes made in 1979, released in 1980 I think? You HAVE to see this movie. It's gut wrenchingly blinding and the ending is just chilling!
