I think this is the very best Pink Panther film. It best shows the Clouseau/Dreyfuss dynamic and keeps the comedic tilt at its highest pitch than in any other PP picture; the insanity of ever assassin in the world missing Clouseau spectacularly is appealing. It also has the best variety of disguises for Clouseau (especially the over-inflated hunchback), the best self-inflicted slapstick (how many times does he end up falling into either the Seine or Dreyfuss's castle's moat? Had to have been at least a dozen) and the best and wildest Clouseau/Cato tilt Blake Edwards ever conceived (too bad Cato's not used much today, politically incorrect though he may be). You could never replace Peter Sellers no matter how volatile he may have been.
Where would you rank it in the Pink Panther pantheon?

I agree! Far and away the best of the "Panthers"! More laughs in the first 10 minutes than some have during the entire film!
