I was listening to the 70's today, and heard all these songs I use to love as a kid, and I started thinking about how these songs were for adults, kind of, but they were so beautifully written and the words were so calming and peaceful, and pretty sounding that I remember as a kid loving them...
Here's the Chorus for Snowbird: Spread your tiny wings and fly away And take the snow back with you Where it came from on that day The one I love forever is untrue And if I could you know that I would Fly away with you
She had such a nice voice, it was very calming...and John Denver was singing Rocky Mountain High right after her, and I loved that song too...that to me is what music is.
We have been listening to the 50's, and 60's music all night tonight...my mom loves that music, and she said...listen to the words to those songs, and hear how people wrote and sang about the people they loved, and think about how nice the words are.
That's what I miss so much about music.

I usually just run my fingernails down a chalkboard when I miss Anne Murray's voice. I get the same effect. LOL...

Did you know that Elvis Presley's covered that song too?

Anne Murray is going to be in concert here in Bismarck here in the next few weeks. I believe she's traveling with some kind of orchestra.

I'm not a big fan of Anne Murray, but I am curious why she has a strong lesbian following, even though she isn't gay! Maybe it's because of her short hair and the fact that she was once a Physical Education teacher!
As for Elvis, he once said that she was his favorite female singer.
