I was watching it about 2am last night...isn't it funny how sometimes you can be so tired and you see a movie on you like, and you wake back up again to watch it...even though you have seen it 50 times already.
I always liked this movie...it makes me sad every time Betty Buckley gets killed cause I always wanted her to have gotten out of the building. I liked when she slapped Nancy Allen in the face.
The spilt screens in this movie on the Prom scene are so cool, and that buzzing sound that sounds like the lighting...it really makes it creepier.
I love the characters in this movie...even Piper Laurie as her mom...she was so creepy...when she was hiding behind the door, when Carrie comes home soaked in blood...that scene always gives me the creeps.
I liked William Katt too...the scene where they are trying on the tuxs...is funny...cause the one guy says he only has $10...and the other one says...well you can rent a nice tux for that...and he tries one on...and says "look at me don't I look good", and he's got one of those huge bow ties with the ruffled collared shirts...and the other one ends up with the phoney tuxedo t-shirt.
That was a really well done movie.

Isis stop rehashing your old prom memories.
Carrie is a classic....I love the expression on Carrie's face as the bucket of blood comes crashing down on her head. Can high school kids be so cruel, you bet they can.
Neat to see Travolta in such an early role.

Her expressions actually are so great...when she has all the blood on her, and is standing up there going nuts and using her "powers"...she looks so creepy with the fire in the background, and like I said the way they do that split screen, is so dramatic.

I've always thought if you took out all the supernatural stuff, Carrie is the truest representation of female life in High School (atleast in my high school.)

This is one horror film that I have only seen a few bits and pieces of. It has a lot of good actors in it like Travolta, Spacek, and Allen. It has always been one of those movies that just doesn't seen to come on when I have nothing else on I want to watch. It doesn't seem like it is played much on the movie channels, I wonder why that is anyway?
