Foxy Brown, Coffy, The Big Doll House & The Switchblade Sisters are all firm fav's of mine.

I started reading this post and then I looked to see who wrote it. I should have known! Well, my favorite is SWITCHBLADE SISTERS. I also like FOXY BROWN and COFFY. Was THE WARRIORS JAck Hill? I think it was. The only Women In Prison movie he did that I've seen so far was BIG DOLL HOUSE which was pretty cool. How do his other WIP movies stack up? I would think they are all pretty much the same and all pretty much star Pam Grier, Goddess Among Mere Humans.

D'oh! It was WALTER HILL who directed THE WARRIORS, not JACK HIll. Okay...now I feel stupid....
He also directed SPIDER BABY which I didnt think was so hot. If you want a list of the movies he did go to www.imdb.comPosts: 4913 | From: New York | Registered: Jul 2003 | Site Updates: 0

Yes i agree with that to be honest, classics all.

That was Walter Hill of 48 Hours fame. Another great film hence my user name.

Yes they are all pretty generic, but still great fun The Big Doll House, The Big Bird Cage & Caged Heat are the best for me.
Pam Grier was just too cool, i also enjoyed Friday Foster, Black Mama White Mama(another W.I.P flick)
She was amazing in Somthing Wicked This Way Comes and she showed the world what a great actress she was in QT's sublime Jackie Brown.

Easy mistake Mama.
I have the special edition of Spider Baby, loved this movie from an early age.Lon Chaney's song for the opening of the credits is excellent(is there a soundtrack released?)
