Sloane is a funny and entertaining low-budget action flick set in Manila, Philippines.

The story opens with Richard Thursby's murder and the abduction of his wife, Janice.
Former cop and martial arts expert, Philip Sloane, is retained by family and flies to Manila in search of clues.
He's joined by an old friend, Pete Saimi, and Thursby's sister, Cynthia in an adveture
which includes a worldwide religious cult, Chinese overlord, a brothel and cave-dwelling cannibal pygmies. (IMDb)

Sloane was directed by Dan Rosenthal (the man who produced Tag: The Assassination Game)
Starring Robert Resnick and Debra Blee (The Beach Girls, Hamburger the Movie, The Malibu Bikini Shop etc.)

Sloane is an easygoing dude: He drinks, goes to bed with everyone
and he sure can shoot and fight.
There´s a scene where the bad guys put a cobra in Sloane´s car and when he sees the snake, he bites it´s head off [Cool]

Here´s some interesting info about the filming from Wikipedia:

"Filming of the movie in the Philippines was eventful.
The filmmakers crossed paths with a Guerrilla army and were shot at.
According to rumors, an actress attempted to leave the country with a screenwriter in a tryst during last week of the shoot
and had her passport revoked by the Americans,
who kidnapped her at the airport and forced her back to the set".

So was that Debra Blee who tried to escape?
Amazing stuff.

The score composed by Phil Marshall is pretty decent.

BTW, this movie includes a cool Jeep and one more thing:
If you´re looking for a girl who´s been kidnapped, find the local bartender, he knows where she is.
(she´s probably in the nearest cave)

I had to pop in my copy of Sloane.

Loved it !

Sloane has a great sense of humor in dangerous situations. That look he gave to Debra Blee before biting the snake's head off was perfection.

girls, girls, girls

and there should have been a part 2
