My answer to the girls Spring Break movie "Where The Boys Are" is the appropriately titled "Spring Break" from 1983. This is a perfect double feature movie with "Hardbodies" which was a thread a few months back.
"Spring Break" is just a fun movie.. there is drinking, wet t-shirt contests, poolside action, hotel room action, bikini contests, and even a little romance. Oh and Corinne Alphen as the lead singer Joan of a wicked girl band called "Hot Date" .. I realize she isn't really singing those tunes, but I don't care! So Awesome.. "Do It To You"
Here's the plot.. if you need one:
Nelson (David Knell) and Adam (Perry Lang) have made reservations at a cheap hotel in Fort Lauderdale for spring break. When they arrive, they learn that the hotel has overbooked the room, so they agree to share it with Stu (Paul Land) and O.T. (Steve Bassett), two cool guys from Brooklyn who are quite opposites of the rather geeky Nelson and Adam. All of the usual activities of spring break are in full swing, but their fun is interrupted when Nelson's disapproving step-father coincidentally shows up in Ft. Lauderdale to team up with a crooked building inspector to close down their hotel for a development project and ruin everyone's fun.
I mentioned Corinne Alphen, but I really enjoyed the character of Susie played by Jayne Modean. She was cute and extremely funny especially during her interactions with the goofy but loveable Nelson. They made a great couple.. as did O.T. and Joan on the other end of the Spring Break romance spectrum.
Muffy did you watch it yet?

I like this movie, great stuff, but the guy on the left
yells way too much throughout the movie. It gets annoying. His voice cuts through everything.
Corinne Alphen is a goddess. I'm talkin' extreme heat. Five alarm fire kinda hotness.

This movie captured Spring Break in Ft. Lauderdale back in the 80's brilliantly..
There is a scene in the movie that flashes all the great Spring Break hangouts .. The Button, Elbo Room, Summers, New Wave Lounge, Candy Store, and Penrod's.
Most of these places no longer exist, but you can still visit the Elbo Room and go cruisin' down the A1A whenever you want!

I respect the position on not wanting to watch 80's classics in 3-D, but the Hot Date performance of "Do It To You" at Penrod's with Corinne Alphen might just be a worthy exception.. ya think?

Thanks, Valley! I've actually been digging in the archives for past threads regarding some of my favorite movies, so you'll probably see me bring a few of those back from the dead for discussion.
I love the scene when Stu, Adam, and O.T. go to rescue Nelson from his step-dad's yacht and O.T. climbs the rope with a knife in his mouth. There's a funny exchange between Adam and Stu about that:
Adam: Why does O.T. have a knife in his mouth? Does he really expect trouble? Stu: Nah, he always wanted to swim with one. He saw it once on television.
Devolution, I heartily agree on the soundtrack and love for Corinne Alphen. She was so alluring in this movie. Here's a nice photo that was taken during the shoot of Spring Break, (notice how she's wearing the same bikini as in the movie):
