Hi there, long time contributor but the first time I have joined the forum.
I have been the name of a film.
It is along the lines of One Crazy Summer, Summer School etc..
A group of kids during college break get jobs working as reps at a holiday resort. One of them is always trying to get with the head rep. One of them is called fat when he arrives and spends the entire film working out and is ripped at the end.
That's all I can remember, please help, it is killing me!

I've seen this movie! But can't remember the name.. I thought Riptide had it with Hot Resort, but the guy who loses weight to be a lifeguard was a different guy. I'll keep thinking about it.

Can you think of anything else? It seems like these guys went to a resort to work similar to "Private Resort" and "Hot Resort", but the overweight guy wanted to be a lifeguard, but the other lifeguards made fun of him. However, there was this really nice girl and the overweight guy spent the entire summer working out to get in shape to impress her and be accepted as a lifeguard. That is a vague memory.. but kind of the gist of that guy's journey through the movie.
Is that what you remember?

Exactly. That is definitely the film. She is the head rep and they spy on her taking a bath.

The guy "working out" is only a minor character. I can't remember anything of the main movie though.

I wouldn't have guessed that "Summer Job" was the movie.

I have Summer Job on laserdisc and I wouldn't say the fat guy gets ripped but he does lose weight. I like the movie as a turn off the brain and just veg out movie. It also doesn't hurt that a lot of girls get naked.
