I need help with the name of a 80's Sci-Fi movie

Here it is..I know it stars Tom Sellick(magnum pi) & Gene Simmons(from kiss) Tom plays a cop in the future and has a young son..and a robot maid. Gene is the bad guy and has these killer spider robots that shoot acid into your body..thats about it..I knw somebody knows this movie?

@Logan i could have used less info and still got the answer i was looking for..the members on here are just that good!! So Nan Nanny boo-boo!!
