okay, this is REALLY bothering me. i gotta know what this movie is.
All i can remember is it was on WB Saturday Afternoon Movies when I was a kid, at least I think it was. Which in my opinion if it was, it was probably a somewhat popular movie.
All that I can really remember is this, and i don't even know if it's completely right or not..
I remember it being night, like late middle of the night, and it's storming, and this guy and a girl, highschool teens, break into some house, it's a really big house, it might even be the house next door to him, but it was DEFINITELY storming, like lightning flashes and stuff lighting up the inside of the house. And they were searching for something in the house, proof of whatever they were trying to prove the old man that lived there was, idk if it was that he was dead, a killer, idk. I think it was something supernatural. But i remember the old man that lived there either chasing them, or i dont even know. and i just vaguely remember it, them running out of the house, and him coming after them or something, i'm not even sure. I even start thinking that it was their principal or something.
oh, and this part of them breaking into the house, it was probably only a 5-10 minute scene in the whole movie, it wasn't the whole plot. I just wish I knew what it was.
I can't figure out who was in it either, i always thought that when they got out of the house, they met up with 2 or 3 more people, and i thought one of them was christopher lloyd, but looking at his imdb list, none of the movies click.
I started thinking the movie was Fright Night, but i just got done watching it, and none of it seemed to click either. It was kind of like that, but it's not fright night.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

This is a shot in the dark, but could it be "The Haunted Mansion Mystery", which was one of the ABC Weekend Specials that used to air on Saturday afternoons back in the 80's? Your description does not sound exactly like the episode, but it's been a very long time since I've seen it.

Thanks for your help, but neither of thoes fit the bill haha.
I wish I could remember more of it, so i could share the rest of the plot with you guys, and figure out what the heck movie this is stuck in my head.
The plots of both of those you two mentioned seemed familiar to what I've been thinking of, but I think it was a full movie, like 90+ minutes, and the people I picture when I think of it, they were more along the ages of 17-19.
If I can remember anything more I'll post it

Jkane, may I ask you, did you see this movie in the 80's? I know you said "when you were a kid", and mentioned the WB network, but I know that WB used to be WPIX until the mid-90's, so maybe I should be focusing on a movie that came out in the 90's rather than the 80's.
Either way, this plot sounds incredibly familiar to me, although it's probably not unlike scenes from a lot of movies that I enjoyed as a child. Some of what you're talking about sounds similar to scenes in The 'burbs, Monster Squad, The Witch's Sister, and even "The Red Room Riddle", nut none quite fit the bill. I'm also thinking that your description is similar to "The Westing Game" which was a book that eventually got made into a movie in 1997.
This is going to drive me crazy, as I'm certain that I'll know the movie as soon as someone comes up with it.

The episode I suggested is an hour long, it does star Chistopher Lloyd, the scene at the house is short, and the teacher is dead. Here's a rundown (with pics):

Looks like you may have nailed it, Logan. Good work! I used to watch Amazing Stories all the time, and I actually own Season 1. I wish they would release Season 2 on DVD.

Well, it does sound like the film Jkane was asking about, but it could still be wrong!
I loved Amazing Stories too. It was like a slightly less menacing Twilight Zone.

I looked the show up on imdb when you first suggested it, and only did a quick read of the plot, and it just didn't seem right, but it definitely is now that I see the pictures.
You guys are great, it's nuts that with such little info, you can find it on the first try haha.
Thankyou for all of your help! now I just need to find it to watch it somewhere, perhaps netflix will have it.
I think I remember it because it was so bizarre, and probably scared me as a child.

oh, and to answer an earlier question, i was born in 1990, so I saw it i'm assuming on WB afternoon movies in the early 90's (my sisters born in the 80's would watch them every week), but really, it could have been on any channel I guess.
I just checked, both seasons are available on netflix instant streaming!
