A one-woman vice squad. Tough as nails. Smooth as Silk.
Silk, the toughest cop in Honolulu, busts small time smugglers only to reveal a larger syndicate smuggling Asian mobsters into the States by buying the identities of Hawaiian citizens.
Just watched this low-budget action flick directed by Cirio H. Santiago. Pretty good stuff.
Starring Cec Verrell and Bill McLaughlin. Featuring a nice soundtrack, the theme tune rocks!
Next: Silk 2.

Silk, the smoothest, toughest, and sexiest cop in Honolulu is hot on the trail of ruthless art smugglers who are after a priceless Asian Scroll. Silk will stop at nothing to get her man, even if it means blowing up an entire building.
So, Silk is even sweeter now as Monique Gabrielle (Hot Moves, Bachelor Party) plays the leading role in this sequel. Also starring Peter Nelson, Jan Merlin and Maria Claire.
This entertaining b-actioner was again directed by Cirio H. Santiago. The bathrobe fight scene is a classic!

Cirio H. Santiago was a Filipino film producer, director, writer and cinematographer.
He made lots of interesting low-budget flicks in the 70s and 80s. (Of course it depends if you happen to like this kind of stuff )
Quentin Tarantino counts Santiago among his influences and based some of the characters in Kill Bill on Santiago's movies.
I´m afraid that i don´t know that much about German cinema (I have some Wolfgang Petersen, Werner Herzog, Wim Wenders and Uli Edel movies though.)

Cirio Santiago made the craptacular blaxplotation/Kung Fu hybrid T.N.T. Jackson starring black playboy playmate, Jeannie Bell. I have that awful movie on VHS somewhere!
