My brother in Law has been dating someone from England and a few weeks ago they got into a fight over the name of the movie with Sean Astin and Pauly Shore, which I said was Encino Man but I told him that in England, it might be called something different.
It is it's called California Man...
My question is, what are names of movies in Europe that have different names other than "Flying High" for Airplane!
Thanks

I once saw a movie called Big Man on Campus, that I watched while in a hotel room in the early nineties. But when I tried to find a copy of it, it turned out the UK name was The Hunchback Hairball of LA.
Very annoying, but I managed to get my ex-rental VHS copy. (Sadly, long since gone).

'Airplane!' was called 'Airplane!' in the UK.
'Career Opportunities' was called 'One Wild Night' over here. 'Morgan Stewart's Coming Home' was called 'Home Front'. 'Heaven Help Us' was called 'Catholic Boys'.

Teen Wolf was called 'The boy from the future' in some countries to try to capitalise on the success of BTTF.
I think that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I mean would we hold Teen Wolf in the same regard now if we never knew it by Teen Wolf and only knew it by The boy from the future. It just doesn't make sense.

Fantastic topic, great lists all. Two more that come to my cloudy mind: "Tenebrae" a/k/a "Tenebre" was released theatrically in the U.S. as "Unsane." And "Manhunter" (from the book "Red Dragon") was released to network TV in the U.S. as "Red Dragon: The Curse of Hannibal Lecter."

Noms Bet
Noms, I have posted this somewhere before but I am from Australia and have always known it as Wrong Bet. I tried to track it downa couple of years ago and bought it off Amazon as Lionheart. As soon as I received the DVD, I chucked it in the DVD player and during the opening credits where the movie title is displayed it says Full Contact. Very weird hey.
So now, AWOL = Lionheart = Wrong Bet = Full Contact.
I wonder if there are any more names for this movie.
