Just watched this extremely cheesy and entertaining cop flick. Starring David Goss, Lincoln Kilpatrick, Julie Schoenhofer and James Mitchum.
I knew that i´ve seen Lincoln Kilpatrick recently in another movie and indeed he has a role in Prison (1988) which i watched sometime ago. Totally different kind of role here - he´s a real lady magnet in this one
Beautiful (topless) girls, guns, karate, oil wrestling, a car chase... what else do you need?
It goes without saying that i also like the cheap upbeat synthesizer score.
So, this is fun late night entertainment for the low-budget action movie fans, make sure that there´s a full six-pack and some snacks on-hand.

Good work on the Rewind review, LoverswithCassie. Now I really have to see this movie. I look forward to the synth soundtrack too, I'm a sucker for that type of score.

No, I don't, but I shall be writing a review of it for the Rewind.

Samurai Cop was released on region 1 dvd by Guilty Pleasures (a Media Blasters subdivision) in 2004. The disc features a hilarious audio commentary by drive-in movie-critic Joe Bob Briggs.

Independent US dvd label Cinema Epoch is bringing several Amir Shervan flicks to special edition dvd.
The first one will be a re-release of Samurai Cop, reportedly restored from the original 35mm negative.
Also forthcoming in the same collection are Killing American Style (1990) and Young Rebels (1992).
