I just watched this gem again recently. I still find little things that I missed from the previous time I have watched it. Starring Casey Siemasko and Richard Tyson this high school comedy has become a cult classic. What made the film stand out for me was the unique way that the film was shot. Different angles, references to the clock and school bell. I also thought the casting was right on. I loved the music in this one as well.
Quick synopsis of the film. Jerry is a high school student that inadvertently gets in a "tangle" with a new kid at school who doesn't like to be touched. All day long he tries to come up with ways to get out of the intended fight that is to take place in the school parking lot at 3 o'clock. Each attempt backfires and Jerry's day just goes further and further down hill. But in the end the good guy comes out on top. Jerry faces his fears and fights the monster and wins. This is a great high school flick!
What do you all think?

Jessie, I thought you were smarter than to mess with Buddy Revell !
"You and me, we're gonna have a fight. Today. After school. Three o'clock. In the parking lot. You try and run, I'm gonna track you down. You go to a teacher, it's only gonna get worse. You sneak home, I'm gonna be under your bed."
Great flick that was underrated at the time it was released. Played as an 80's version of "High Noon"...
Another awesome 80's 'Movie of the Week'!

A pretty darn good one, which I first saw in college for one of our TV/Film courses. You do feel a reasonable amount of suspense as time ticks ahead to the climax, and you genuinely do feel triumph when our hero comes out on top.

I used to think Jerry's sister was the cutest girl in the cast.
"What's your favourite book?" "'The Turn of the Screw." "What a coincidence."

Just so you know Valley Buddy Revell called me himself and demanded that I do this movie as the topic of the week. Did I really have a choice?

I own this VHS tape. It's truly one of the lost classics, and they odd build up of the movie makes you think that Buddy is going to rip out his small intestine. It's so great and works on so many levels.

Reviving and old thread as I just purchased the DVD.
This movie has been described as a cult classic but it missed the mark for me personally. Was just story a school bully and his victim and there wasn't much else going on to keep me interested.
I guess i'm more of a Fast Times kind of guy. That's Cult Classic to me.

Sorry you didn't like it Mike. Sometimes the movie has more meaning if you actually see it around the time it comes out. I know that I have watched some movies from the 80s that I hadn't seen and was disappointed in them.
