'Target' was a by-the-numbers American on the run in Europe story (think a poorer 'Frantic'). Matt Dillon discovers his uncool Dad is actually an ex spy (Gene Hackman). It's not too bad, just unremarkable and somewhat predictable. Like a TV movie.

'Flamingo Kid' was set in the early 60's (I think). It was a comedy drama about a working schlub with ambitions (especially towards a rich girl). The plot revolves around some rich powerful men playing some kind of high-stakes card game. I seem to remember really liking it at the time, but I haven't seen it for years. Looking at IMDB it seems a lot of people like it.

'Rebel' and 'Kansas' I've had on VHS for years, but never felt the need to actually watch them! That isn't something I do often. But since you're clearly hankering for a big slice o' Dillon I'd say try them out.

Start with 'The Flamingo Kid' and then try the others.

I really liked the Flamingo Kid. It's one of those movies where the kid learns that his parents were actually right for once. I think it was set in the early 1960's.
I have Kansas on dvd. Not a bad flick. I've never seen Rebel. I agree with Logan5- Target was kind of like a made-for-tv movie, but it is worth watching if you've never seen it.

I don' t think I've ever come across anyone who's seen the 1985 Dillon movie rebel.

the UK no frills DVD release of it is dirt cheap and I'm wondering if it's worth the pick up.

I didn't dislike either target or Kansas, the flamingo kid i really enjoyed, great movie.
