I originally watched the first part of this film on an old vhs my dad recored off of sky tv when i was bout 7 or 8 then got so scared i turned it off lol but I can only remember 1 scene from near the beginning of the film where a dark haired teenage girl is in what i think is a high school costume department and she's looking through various things when she finds a crown and tries to pull the jewels out of it when a spirit or ghost strangles her a with a long piece of material or a dress or something????

It puts me in mind of "Carrie" a little bit coz of the crown, i think the crown was meant to be something to do with the high school prom but i could be wrong.

Can anyone help coz its been driving me nuts for years trying to remember it lol

Thanx

This movie - for me at least- is an unsung gem. I think people were peeved it had very little to do with the original PROM NIGHT (I love THAT movie as well!) but I liked how it had a female as the villain and I liked how it had a sort of NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET vibe.

I have this on VHS. Might have to crack it out and watch it this week!

I've always thought it was a good movie. I have it on DVD and haven't watched it in awhile, either. Might have to drag it out.

Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II is a great flick!
Like mamamia, i like the original too.

But what about Prom Night III: The Last Kiss (1990)?
I still haven´t seen it and some say that it´s a good horror/comedy.

Parts 3 and 4 did not appeal to me, but out of the two of them Part 3 is the better one. They were sort of going for jokey humor and it didnt work for me. Might be worth a rent for you though.

I think part 3 continues with the Mary Lou theme. I didn't think much of it. I haven't seen part 4.

Part 4 has nothing to do with the original PROM NIGHT or the Mary Lou Mahoney charactor. It was so frickin DULL...something you dont want from your horror movies!
