I agree with some of them but man who made that list? No Revenge of the Nerds? Back to School? I didn't consider Stripes that funny of a movie and I'm a Bill Murray fan........

It's a pretty good list, but Stripes? To me, that movie is not funny at all.
BTW, how can Tootsie NOT be on that list? IMHO, Tootsie is one of the funniest movies ever, not mention from the 1980's!

I've tried watching Stripes twice and usually if I'm going to like something better it's going to take hold after the second viewing. Unfortunately this one never did. I'm suprised Beverly Hills Cop didn't make the list either.....

Always going to be classics left out when doing a top ten list, but I can see what they were going for and I'm on board. Definitely some classics there. For the record, a huge Stripes fan.
"Are those my men?" "No sir. Here come your men now sir."
Bill Murray is one of the guys along with Candy, Belushi and Farley that I just start smiling when they come on the screen...although I can't remember if I liked Where the Buffalo Roam, it has been probably 20 years since I have seen it.

First we have to establish what constitutes a comedy! Is Back To The Future a comedy? Is Beverly Hills Cop? Is Ghostbusters? Not in my mind! They have comedy in them, but it is not the driving force of these movies!
Here's my list...
ARTHUR FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH TRADING PLACES NATIONAL LAMPOON'S VACATION WEIRD SCIENCE THREE O' CLOCK HIGH COMING TO AMERICA LOVERBOY CHRISTMAS VACATION THE BURBS

What is great about 80s comedies they all highly enjoyable, I like eveyones choices, Weird Science had me in tears of laughter when I first saw it, like Coming to America, whether a film is comedy driven or just happens to have comedy in it they are all great, thats why we can remember them so well. The flowers are still standing LOL Bill Murry I tilt my hat to you.

Another great comedy from the 80's that nobody's mentioned yet is Midnight Run starring Robert DeNiro and Charles Grodin. I always loved that one.
