Didn't dig this one to much! But then again, I don't really like Matthew Modine that much. And find HS wrestling pretty boring. I love the Journey song though!

It´s a good movie and i like the soundtrack too. This movie was called Crazy For You here in Finland back in the day.
Still no official dvd released here, i have the ex-rental vhs tape.

If you like All the Right Moves or Youngblood, then you'll most likely dig Vision Quest.

First time I have registered on a website, but couldn't help myself after I saw your topic (and the site looks awesome anyways). My top movies of all time: Jaws, Raiders, Caddyshack, Alien, Godfather, Animal House which one wouldn't seem to fit? Vision Quest at #2! If anyone ever asks me what it was like to live in the 80's, I would drop in this movie. Soundtrack is amazing, each song perfect against the scene. A journey (or Quest) movie if you will is simple, but an "R" gives it a little edge over most of it's kind. A truly inspirational movie that will make you throw both hands in the air and cheer at the end. And just try to look tough and pretend you have something in your eye when Lowden's co-worker talks about sitting alone by himself watching Pele kick a soccer ball...Man, I kid you not...Enjoy!

It's a good (but not great) movie lifted by the stars and the songs. As Journey said, it's a little like 'Youngblood'.
