Ever have those moments when you're in the store...find a good DVD score....and pass it up...only to regret it later and not be able to stop thinking about it....then say...."Yes Kevin...you deserve it"...then go back to get it...and it's.......gone Well...it's happened to me again...except...they might not be gone yet....but I can't go right now cause my wife is working and apparently...people don't like when you leave your two year old home alone...even if they're sleeping.... * Was at the store yesterday and saw two (2 PAKS) for $6.99 each...one PAK was The Thing and White Noise....The other PAK was Cat People and American Werewolf In London.....I would never have passed if Cat People and The Thing were combined....I don't want White Noise, and I have Werewolf. Shoulda still grabbed them though....will try first thing in the morning. Must be some more "regrets" out there.....

Not the exact same thing but my big regret is throwing out about 800 tapes with 3-4 movies on each one of all 80's & 90's movies & TV shows on them. I spent 14 years working in video rental and built up a great collection but got tired of boxing the tapes up every time I moved. One day I just decided to throw them out thinking that some day I would just replace them all with DVDs but a lot of the great 80's movies are still not available on DVD yet.

In the 80's, I once saw the (turns out very, very rare) CD of "The Karate Kid Part II" soundtrack in a local record store. I thought "Nahhh... I'll get it another time..."
"Big mistake. Big... Huge!"

Score...went this afternoon and scooped both. So basically, $15 for The Thing, Cat People, American Werewolf In London, amd White Noise. I would have paid $15 for The Thing and Cat People alone...I have Werewolf..and don't want White Noise...hmmmmaybe a gift for someone.

I'm glad to see you got them. I hate when you go back for something and it's gone. It's that way in Sam's Club on some stuff, especially around Christmas time. My hubby and I saw a "beermeister" there once for around $150, but he said, nah, we'll come back for it another time. Well, that thing was gone and probably sold out! They now have one in there for the low low price of $479! Sometimes I could kill him for passing up bargains because he hates shopping and is always in a hurry in the stores if he has to go.

Actually yesterday.... I saw a Stanley Kubrick DVD pack with "2001", "The Shining", "Clockwork Orange", "Full Metal Jacket" and "Eyes Wide Shut" for $49. And I passed it up!

Mine's not getting To Kill a Mockingbird several years ago, right after I got my DVD player. Didn't wanna shell out $20 though. Haven't seen it in the stores around here for quite awhile.

I, too, have been in this infuriating situation. I once went into As Good As New, a second hand shop in Geelong, where I saw on the video shelves, available for sale, They Still Call Me Bruce. I was uncertain as to whether I wanted to buy it or not, so I decided to think about it and reached a decision in the affirmative. Unfortunately you can guess what had happened when I next went to As Good As New...
