I can't remember this movie, i saw it as a child in the 80's. All i can remember 2 teenagers who are best friends, and one gets shocked or touched and starts to turn into a vampire (i think?) There is a peddler on the streets who can help the teenager and says to show him where the teenager was shocked at. Of course, the teenager has to open his pants and it was on his pubis area, and he gets lots of dirty looks from passerby's. The best friend ends up turning against the teenager for some reason, and has spiky bond hair and a really annoying voice/chuckle. i konw this isn't much information, but it's all i can remember about this movie! Please help if you can! THanks

i looked at the preview, and thats not the movie. THe movie i'm looking for doesn't have Jim Carrey.

The description of the friend sounds like Stephen Geoffrey's, so it might be 'Fright Night':

I was going to say at first it sounds like My best friend is a vampire, but yeah it does sound like Fright Night.

Hey thanks for all the help. I rented fright night and it is the friend i remember in that movie. However i think i've combined two movies. i'm loking for (and all i remember) is a guy getting zapped in the groin, and no one believing him. he found someone who would help him on the street, and had to show the guy his groin to show the area he was "zapped". everyone walking by was calling him a pervert. any ideas??

The part about being zapped in the groin sounds a little like "My Demon Lover" with Scott Valentine.

I think you are getting confused here. Jim Carey is in this movie, but, he doesn't play a "funny" type of character like he does now.

This is right after the scene in the shower when they were checking him for a bite mark and the other kids in the shower started screaming "fags in the shower". It was pretty funny.


You should rent it to see if is the movie.
