My friend just met her at Chiller Theater this October. She was in Silent Scream-which is one of my favorite horror movies. I think it is because it was one of the first horror movies I ever saw. She gave me the creeps. She was a psycho killer who was living in the attic of her mother's boarding house, and she'd sneek out of the attic and kill people. She was also in the movie Piranha. I would never have even recognized her from her photo, she has gotten to be so old. There's certain people that when I see them now...I can't believe they are as old as they are...like Sam Elliot...I always thought he was gorgeous in Mask and Fatal Beauty, but if you see him now...he is so old. It just makes me realize how long ago the 80s is becoming.

Sam Elliott is 64 years old gtanted he isn't old but he's also no spring chicken. Maybe some of the people in the 80s were older than you realized.
Also Barbara Steele will be 71 next month.

Wow...I thought Sam was over 70. Katherine Ross (his wife)still looks great though. I think Sam letting his hair go from gray then to all white-makes him look much older.

Loved her in Black Sunday, maybe my favorite movie ever. Also liked her in Curse of the Crimson Altar. She's beautiful, but strange looking, a weird combination for sure.

Now seeing that I am a Horror Enthusiast you would think I would have seen a LOT of Barbara Steele movies...but the only two movies I know I've seen with her were BLACK SUNDAY (which I just watched a few weeks ago) and CAGED HEAT (which is not a Horror movie but a '70s Women In Prison movie). I have been DYING to see SILENT SCREAM but, alas, its not out on DVD yet! I THINK I saw parts of PIRANHA on TV as a kid, maybe I should NETFLIX it and watch the whole thing.

My fave Barbara Steele film is The Pit And The Pendulum (1961). Also love her in Nightmare Castle, The Mask Of Satan and the 90's Dark Shadows series.
